Travelling Ava loves a mini adventure, I’m so busy it is great finding places to visit and things to do that I squeeze into my busy schedule. A visit to South Shields Museum is always a lovely treat and they have really good exhibitions.
During our most recent visit, we got to see “Bones: Skeleton Secrets of the Animal World”
This was Ava’s favourite fact. She loves Dinosaurs.
She found these skulls especially fascinating.
If you are visiting South Shields this little museum is worth a visit. Free entry too. You can find more about the current exhibitions on their website – South Shields Museum.
I’m a creator and curator of beautiful things. My designs are influenced by the books I read, the TV I watch, the music I listen to and the art I love. My tastes are eclectic and I love discovering new favourite things to challenge and inspire me.
I’m curious, passionate and nostalgic. This is reflected in the range of costume jewellery I create. I love to upcycle and this is reflected in my steampunk and vintage inspired jewellery creations.
My 80s childhood combined with my obsession for yarn, buttons and ribbons has fuelled my crochet designs. It has lead me to create an intriguing mix of magical crochet characters. I’m now the official biographer (and crochet designer) narrating the adventures of Travelling Ava.
Through my creative pursuits I have met so many amazing people and I can’t wait to meet you too.
