If you are looking for something to do over the summer break, Travelling Ava recommends a visit to Rievaulx Abbey in North Yorkshire.
The ruins of this abbey are great for exploring, for creating your adventure and imaging the lives of the people that once inhabited this beautiful place.
Travelling Ava loves to learn new things while she is exploring, there was so much to discover about Medieval history.
It was also great fun to play a game of hide and seek.
The Abbey also has a visitor centre and a tea room if you fancy a treat and a cuppa.
To find out more about Rievaulx Abbey you can find it here on the English Heritage website
